School Requirements

Following are admissions requirements for Preschool, Lower School, and Upper School applicants.

Preschool Requirements

Pre-Beginners (2 years old by February 28)
Beginners (3 years old by August 31)
Pre-Kindergarten (4 years old by August 31)

  • Online application and fee.
  • Child assessment by our faculty.
  • Parent interview.
  • Letter of recommendation. This personal reference is meant to help us understand your willingness and ability to be a committed participant in your child's education in the context of an active Geneva School community. The recommendation may come from a pastor, friend, colleague, or other individual who knows your family well and can help us get to know your family better at this stage in the application process.

Lower School Requirements

Kindergarten (5 years old by August 31)
First Grade through Fourth Grade (age appropriate)

  • Online application and fee.
  • Personal letter of recommendation. See above. 
  • School transcript or two most recent report cards (Kindergarten: if available).
  • Academic recommendation or assessment from a current teacher (Kindergarten: if available). Use our recommendation form to assist the teacher. 
  • Child assessment by our faculty.
  • Parent interview.

Upper School Requirements

Fifth Grade through Eighth Grade

All materials should be sent to the School at:

We will contact you to schedule a student assessment and classroom visit, as well as a family interview with our Head of School to complete the process.
