Student Life

At Geneva School students are loved, challenged, and inspired.

We are committed to providing a vibrant, nurturing environment where students are inspired to grow in all areas of life.

All aspects of student life are designed to help students grow toward the fullness of who God created them to be. Through wide-ranging educational experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom, students’ minds, souls, and hearts are readied for lifelong growth.

Students Learn:

In the Classroom

  • Small class sizes allow for individualized attention and highly interactive learning
  • Christian teaching and practices woven into all subjects connect the truths of Scripture with the surrounding world
  • Teacher-led, classical pedagogy provides a structured environment in which students can explore
  • Dedicated and talented faculty seek to nurture students’ minds, souls, and hearts
  • Students are encouraged to develop their unique talents and abilities in pursuit of meaningful engagement, joyful discovery, and humble service

In our Community

  • Socioeconomic, ethnic, and denominational diversity creates a rich community of people from all walks of life
  • “Fruit of the Spirit” awards acknowledge acts of kindness and encourage Christ-like character
  • Upper School students are encouraged to live as role models to younger students in character and scholarship
  • Faculty model Christ-like character and serve as mentors to students, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Myriad events and activities—like weekly Assembly, Poetry Festival, inter-school sports, and Cicero’s Podium—provide opportunities for students to share their gifts and talents with the community

In the City

  • Field trips to museums and professional concerts expand students’ learning and signify a standard of excellence
  • Regular volunteer opportunities and partnerships reinforce values of generosity and service toward our neighbors
  • Geneva School concerts, performances, and parent education events are open to the public to promote partnership and bless our neighbors
MORE ON UPPER SCHOOL LIFE
I was challenged to not only work hard, but also to ask questions. Teachers were just as available to talk through questions and uncertainties as they were to cool me down after losing in dodgeball. As I grew into an Upper School student, the care from teachers seemed to adjust accordingly, as they knew we were preparing to face formative years as young believers and scholars. Some of the closest friendships I had growing up were formed at Geneva School."
